In addition to serving as clerk of the city council and maintaining the official record of the minutes of Commission meetings, the City Clerk’s duties include but are not limited to, serving as election superintendent, preparing meeting agendas, processing legislation and agreements for signature by appropriate officials, and providing administrative support to the Council.
Often times, outside organizations, agencies and individuals request special presentations from the City Council. If you would like to request a proclamation or another form of public presentation, please complete a Request for Presentation(s) Form and submit it to the Office of the City Clerk. You will then be sent to Tara Wrecker (map link) 9140 Turner Rd., Jonesboro, GA 30236, (770) 472-5610. Tara Wrecker is open Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm and Saturday, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. They are closed on Sundays and all federal holidays.

You can find out information about our upcoming programs and events by going to "Classes" on our website. Also, the department maintains an email listing for those interested in receiving program information electronically. If you are interested in receiving information, please indicate on your registration form or call us to specify your request.
All programs are limited in size and are filled on a first come, first serve basis. If a program has reached its capacity, names will be placed on a waiting list. The City of Riverdale residents will be given priority on the wait list as space in programs becomes available. It is highly recommended that you register for classes in advance.
Membership fees include the use of the Gymnasium, Fitness Room, and Walking Track.

For free events, such as the After Work Cool Down Free Music Series and Friday Night Flicks, you may park for free in the lot behind City Hall and in the lot adjacent to the Amphitheater. For ticketed events, such as the South City Concert Series, and festivals, all cars will park in the open field adjacent to the Riverdale Town Center, parking lot or the parking deck adjacent to the Riverdale Town Center. This parking will be $5 per car.
Tickets for the events can be purchased at the Riverdale Centre for the Arts, Business and Leisure Services, or the tickets may be purchased online on the Ticket Alternative website.

No coolers or carry-ins are allowed into The Amphitheater at the Riverdale Town Center. No outside food/beverages or picnic baskets are allowed.
