CITY OF RIVERDALE’S LCI PROJECT IS DEVELOPING CITY CENTER

The City of Riverdale is hosting a public open house that will display the draft recommendations for the 2023 Livable Centers Initiative (LCI)- “Developing City Center”. This grant program was created by the Atlanta Regional Commission to incentivize local jurisdictions to re-envision their communities as vibrant, walkable places that offer more mobility options, encourage healthy lifestyles, and provide better access to jobs and services. The planning team’s recommendations were driven by the community’s needs around housing, economic development, and connectivity to achieve this goal. The recommendations are focused within the two key study areas for the project: the greater Riverdale Core and the corridor between Church Street and Powers Street.
