General Information

The following are some general guidelines regarding the City of Riverdale hiring process. Please see job postings for specifics on a particular position.

Please Note: The City of Riverdale only accepts applications for positions currently posted and does not accept unsolicited resumes. Please submit the required employment application (and resume) to the Human Resources Department. Applications must be received by the indicated deadline date. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Applications

All applicants must submit a completed Employment Application. A resume may be required for certain positions; however, a resume will not be accepted as a substitute for an employment application. Some positions may require the submission of supplemental material and notarization. See Job Postings for specifics.

In order to complete the City of Riverdale Online Application Form, you will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader Version 8.0 installed on your computer.

NOTE: The City of Riverdale participates in E-verify.

Procedures

Positions indicating “open until filled” may be closed at any time without prior notice. Applications are screened by the Human Resources Manager and those applicants determined to meet the qualifications are sent to the hiring department for review. Applicants selected for an interview will be contacted by phone.

Request for Verification of Employment (VOE)

Send a written request via email to employment@riverdalega.gov with handwritten signature(s) of employee. Digital signatures are not accepted. Request are processed within 48 hours.
