Our Steeplechase Community has on-going challenges with people littering in our neighborhood. We schedule a Neighborhood Clean-Up for the last Saturday of each month, but unfortunately, there is always A LOT of garbage to pick-up. We would like to know if the City of Riverdale is able to provide at least two or three signs in our community like the following:
http://steeplechasecommunity.blogspot.com/2012/08/we-need-litter-signs-like-these.html
We are also researching the expense, if we have to gather money and purchase signs ourselves. However, we want to know if we have available resources with the city and Public Works.

Add street scape, sidewalks, and post lamp lighting with banners to the area around the hospital to create a designated "named" hospital and medical services district much like the Emory area in Atlanta. This could encourage more retirees and medical staff people and business to move in that immediate area for proximity to the hospital. Also, the city should pursue developers to redevelop empty office building lots to construct high density senior mid rise housing in the immediate area. The cost of living is low, less congestion, close to Atlanta entertainment and culture, and close to medical services.
